The Story of Me

The beginning of the year is always an exciting time! Each individual in our new class community has a story to tell. At the beginning of the year, we priorities time to share our stories so we can learn and connect with each other. To support us in sharing our stories, we invite all children to create a "Story of Me" photograph that showcases each individual child's unique identity.

To take your photo, talk with your child about all the things that they like. These might be things like playing Lego, painting, riding my bike, spending time with my family, my pet cat, playing with train tracks. Then, using objects that represent your child's identity, take a photo of them surrounded by these objects and upload it to your class Padlet below.

Children will share these photos during the first few weeks of school to support them in sharing their story with the class so we can learn more about them and begin to make connections.
